Are You Ready for a Fun Run in the Bay Area?

Who says running is just for athletes? To Jacob, 28, bachelor, and a call center representative, running helps him to stay fit and healthy. Despite his busy schedule, he still finds time to take a morning run or an afternoon walk during his rest days. “You know how sedentary call center representative’s lifestyle is. I sit 8-10 hours a day, answer telephone calls, that ‘s it! I only get to stand and rest during breaks, so I have no time to exercise at all” gone are the days when running is only limited to athletes. Today, more and more people are into running to keep them fit and healthy. Studies have shown that running can help prevent unlikable conditions like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity for teens and young adults. Not only that, this cardiovascular exercise helps in maintaining a sound, balance and healthy physical, mental and emotional life.

And what is the best way to enjoy a run is to have it with friends and family. Fun run or “the friendly race” as other people may call it, has become more and more popular nowadays. Companies and private organizations conduct this kind of event not only to keep their registrants in shape but also to help those in need, because most of the fun runs are also fund-raising activities. Anyone can join, athletes, runners, children, adults, men and women whether you are joining for a serious competition or just for fun you are most welcome to this kind of event. All you need is a pair of very good running shoes, a sound mind and body and a little motivation will help you through.
