Halloween Costume Parades you Shouldn’t Miss in the Bay Area

Halloween is a great time to show off your creative and artistic side through your costume! Many dress up as famous horror movie characters like Michael Myers from Halloween while others dress up as iconic figures like Michael Jackson in his Thriller outfit. Some people love the idea of pretending to be someone else for one night. And one of the best events to go to show off your costume is at the many Halloween Costume Parades in the Bay Area!

Halloween Costume Contest and Sidewalk Stroll (Free) – Benicia, October 28

The Halloween tradition of Benicia Main Street continues on with their annual Halloween Costume Contest and Sidewalk Stroll at the City Park, located at First and Military Streets.  Families can enjoy trick-or-treating together while taking a stroll along First Street. Now, your pets can also join in on the Halloween fun because the event is also popular for its Canine & Critter Costume Contest!

Breakfast & Munchkin Masquerade at Jelly Belly (Free) – Fairfield, October 28

Are you a big lover of Jelly Belly candies and excited to get some Jelly Belly during trick-or-treating? Then you should head on over to the Jelly Belly Visitor Center and celebrate the holiday with their Halloween Breakfast with Mr. Jelly Belly and Munchkin Masquerade Parade! Begin the event with delicious breakfast, interactive activities and entertainment while wearing costumes. Afterwards, you can tour the Fairfield Jelly Belly Factory with Mr. Jelly Belly and Kelly the Clown! There will also be treats from Jelly Belly for the first 300 kids.

Halloween Hoopla Parade and Carnival (Free) – Menlo Park, October 28

Head unto the annual Halloween parade through downtown Menlo Park to Fremont Park with your best costume! After the parade, kids are welcome to trick-or-treat to local downtown merchants. There is something in store for everyone like crafts, live entertainment and carnival games. Also free trick-or-treat bags will be available at Fremont Park for all children.

Capitola Village Halloween Parade (Free) – Capitola, October 29

Another annual costume parade is the Capitola Village Halloween Parade! Everyone is invited to participate in this free parade in their best costumes! The parade starts at the Beach & Village Parking Lot above Capitola City Hall and will head down Capitola Avenue, wind through Capitola Village to the Esplanade ending at Esplanade Park, where trick-or-treat bags, balloons, and refreshments will be waiting.

Halloween Parade (Free) – Sausalito, October 31

Another costume parade that you should not fail to miss is the Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Lane at Sausalito! The parade starts at the Station 1 Firehouse and finishes at Trick or Treat Lane located at the Robin Sweeny Park Basketball Courts. Aside from the parade, the event at Sausalito also includes a Firefighter BBQ, Howl’O’Ween Dog Costume Contest and a Haunted House!
