New Year's Eve Fireworks in San Francisco

It's is one of the most well-known fireworks displays with hundreds and thousands of people in attendance every year. The display kicks off at 11:59 pm and it is surely worth the time and effort to get down there to see this amazing display and get you in the mood to start the year right!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Date and Time:
Saturday, December 31, 2017 | 11:59 pm
The show usually lasts 15-20 minutes.

Location:
One of the things that you have to plan when you think about going to the fireworks display is the best location to view them. You can watch the fireworks display anywhere along the eastern side of San Francisco by the waterfront. The fireworks will launch from barges located 1,000 feet out in the bay just south of the Ferry Building near Pier 14 (Mission Street and The Embarcadero), so the best viewing spots will be south of Sinbad’s Restaurant along the Embarcadero between Mission and Folsom Street. Please note that standing in front of the Ferry Building will not be a good place to view the fireworks. It’s way too crowded and your view can be blocked by the Ferry Building.

Restaurants:
If you wish to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with good food and a beautiful view of the display at the comfort of an elegant restaurant? Then you can visit some of these:

EPIC STEAK

This high-end restaurant has the perfect view of the display. Breathtaking views combined with delicious cuisine, cocktails and wines. EPIC features a lush outdoor patio with amazing views of the waterfront and the Bay Bridge.
