1) San Francisco’s Top Sushi Restaurants
By Ellen Fort and Stefanie Tuder

San Francisco is a town full of amazing eats, and sushi is no exception. But it can be difficult to sift through the never ending maze of mediocre raw fish around this city. It is too easy to fall into the trap of crazy fusion fried rolls and overused spicy mayo, which is a true shame especially when there is so much pristine nigiri and sashimi to be found. Luxe ingredients like uni, belly albacore, roe, and more are all waiting for you instead.

2) 15 Posh Places For Afternoon Tea in San Francisco
By Stefanie Tuder

San Francisco is awash in places to enjoy one of the most decadent of dining experiences: afternoon tea service. There are fancy hotels and standalone tea rooms alike offering the refined experience around the area, making it easy to access no matter where you are or what your price point is, since the experience does not come with a crazy price tag.

No matter your objective — afternoon tea is perfect for when a parent is in town, an afternoon with friends, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, or just a splurge afternoon — there’s a place for you on this list. Whether you want to put on your best outfit and nosh on dainty little finger sandwiches in an oh-so-proper tea room, or enjoy authentic Japanese or Russian tea service, San Francisco has you covered.

5) False Alarm: Mr. Bing’s Dive Bar Survives Ownership Change
By Stefanie Tuder

July brought news that Mr. Bing’s, the grungy, 50-year-old North Beach drinking institution, had been sold to new owners, and would likely close. The news prompted predictable outrage, and even famed food personality Anthony Bourdain got in on the story, telling Eater SF, “Just another day in the death spiral … Another good and noble thing, in this case, a fine drinking establishment, ground under the slow, inevitable, pitiless forward motion of the Terrible Wheel.
